What's The Difference Between A Wig And A Hair Topper?
Perhaps you are suffering from thinning hair or anticipating major hair loss from chemo. Selecting a perfect hair product can be very confusing and time-consuming for the first-time buyer. The question is whether you should opt for a full wig or a hair topper?
Whereas a wig provides total head coverage, hair toppers provide coverage for one targeted area. Hair toppers clip into the existing hair, while wigs are work with a wig cap or overtop a grip. Both wigs and hair toppers can be made with synthetic or human hair, and both are available in a variety of colors and styles.

What's The Difference Between Hair Extensions And Hair Toppers?
Toppers and extensions are a great way to add some “umph” to your hair if you're just starting to experience hair loss. Even better, they're easy to use, too.
Hair extensions are ideal for people experiencing overall hair loss, rather than hair loss in several specific areas. Extensions attach underneath a top layer of hair, adding all-around volume.
Sometimes called “half wigs” or “top pieces,” toppers are hair pieces that sit on top of your head and blend in with the natural hair below it. There are multiple sizes and styles of toppers, but there is generally only one type: a top piece that covers the part of your hair and sits on the top.

Heat Friendly Synthetic Fiber VS Kanekalon Synthetic Fiber
Synthetic hair is a man-made fiber. There are different types of synthetic hair fibers, such as acrylic, polyester, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and Kanekalon. Lower quality fibers are shinier in appearance and tend to be less realistic in texture and movement.
Heat Friendly Synthetic Fiber
Just as the name implied, heat-friendly or heat-resistant fiber can be styled using a low/medium heat setting and can be curled, blow dried, or flat ironed to achieve a different hairstyle. Heat friendly/resistant synthetic fiber can withstand heat up to 350°F/180°C. Synthetic hair should not be colored.
Kanekalon Synthetic Fiber
Light and soft with natural body and luster, Kanekalon is the highest quality of synthetic fibers available. All our Kanekalon synthetic wigs and hair pieces offer styles with soft, light, natural-looking hair with gorgeous body and vibrant, resilient color. For kanekalon fiber wigs, you should try to avoid all heat sources while wearing your wig. Heat will damage the synthetic fibers of the wig as they will become singed and partially melted.

Virgin Remy Human Hair VS Remy Human Hair
All our human hair wigs, hairpieces, and hair extensions are made from 100% human hair. Human hair has more versatility when it comes to styling, as it can be styled in various ways, just like your own hair, and will maintain the most natural look.
Virgin hair has been defined as hair that has never been chemically processed in any way, making the hair far more superior to Remy hair. A set of virgin hair must come from a single donor and all follow the same direction with an intact cuticle which means it is completely natural, healthy and beautiful.
Remy hair is of the high quality and comes from a single donor, which ensures consistency in texture. Also, the hair cuticles are intact, in one direction and consists of cuts which are the same length. Remy hair is the most popular hair on the market with high quality and reasonable price.

Toppers are good for coverage on one targeted area of the head. They are smaller and lighter than wigs and you don't have to wear a wig cap or hide your existing hair when you wear them. Customer Reviews On Best Selling Hair Toppers
I purchased my first human hair silk topper and absolutely love it! This is the Bella in 12". I like it much better being parted with the side bang look rather then the straight part that I was kind of hoping for. I as well had the issue where it didn't lay flat on my head but when I parted it off to the side it then gives it that volumized look. Other then that just added some curls and that was it.
"I've been wearing helper hair for a little over a year now and, as a result, my hair feels healthier than it has in years! My stylist noticed and we think it's because I'm washing less often and no longer heat styling my bio hair. :) Don't get me wrong, it's still thin as ever, but I'm now wearing my hair longer than I used to because it's healthier. I was recently ordering another topper (I know, I know...I gotta stop at some point...just not yet!)"
"Between the ER and the firehouse, my hair is always pulled back so no one really knows how horrible it truly is. But with my husband's work Holiday Party coming up, I wanted to look like a girl. So, I took my second Claire Remy to my stylist (magician) who cut her into this gorgeous bob. I sent a snap to my husband who told me (for the first time in our relationship) that I looked "amazing"! No words can describe how pretty I feel — and how grateful."
"Obviously right out of the box, HOPE TOPPER in Almond Frost. This Uniwig, synthetic topper looks and feels better, or at least as good as ANY human Hair Topper I've worn over the past 15 years! She needs a little trim but she's FABULOUS!"

How to Choose the Right Base Size?
Choosing the proper topper base size is not only going to make your hair piece look more natural, but also ensure that you are not pulling on hair causing further hair loss. The base size depends on your coverage needs.
First, you should measure the size of the area on your head you want to cover.
- Take the front of the tape measure to the front of the hair line.
- Take that back to the balding area where the balding area ends *to the back of the head
- Hold finger on the correct like and get your first size
- Now to get a side length, take the tape measure to the other angel to get the width *same way as above
Then you can choose a topper on our website with the base of a little bit larger size. Be sure to factor in clip attachments on base. There must be a sufficient amount of hair to attach clip to. Adhesive is a secondary option.

How To Cut The Front Lace?
It is strongly recommended to try on the wig first to make sure it will look good on you before cutting the lace. Once the lace is cut the wig will not be eligible for return.
For lace front wigs, the front lace should be cut to make the hairline look natural.
To cut the lace, pull down the lace gently and using scissors, cut the extra lace carefully and a little at a time. Treat it as your own hairline which is not perfectly straight but natural. Cut slowly, so you can see if you are cutting it in the right way.
