Knowing if your wig is fitting properly is essential to your daily levels of comfort and confidence. Today, let's talk about some tips will help you figure out if you need a different size. The fit of your wig depends on the circumference of your head from the nape to the hairline. You can use a soft measuring tape to determine this. A petite size head measures 21 to 21.5 inches. An average sized head measures 22 to 22.5 inches. A large sized head measures 23 to 23.5 inches.
After your size is determined and you've ordered your favorite piece, you can now see in person if you need something different.
Your size is too small if
a. Your wig slides back on your head revealing your hairline or scalp.
b. If the wig comes with a lace front, the lace front rolls under
c. The wig feels very tight at the temples or like it's pulling on your own bio hair
d. If the crown on some pieces sticks up like a point on top of the head, the wig is too small for you.
Your piece is too big if
a. Your wig slides around when you move your head.
b. You can see your own bio hair through the gaps the ear tabs create.
c. The lace wrinkles or buckles at the front.
Remember to use your adjustable straps for minor adjustments but if those don't resize your wig accordingly, exchange for an accurate size will give you the best results.
