How to blend a hair topper with your hair

One of our most frequent and commonly asked questions from our customers is "how do I blend the topper with my own hair and make it look natural?"

We have learned many tips on how to make your topper blend and look natural over the past few years, so we thought we would share my top tips with you!

Tip 1: Choose a topper with the same color roots as yours

It is very important to have your roots and the hair topper roots the same color. This is going to make it a seamless transition between your hair and hair topper and it's going to be undetectable when you put it in your hair.

Tip 2: Go for a topper with bangs

We know bangs are not for everyone and not all people like bangs. But in the beginning, when you're first starting out with toppers, bangs are perfect because they're so easy to wear. For instance, you don't have to color the roots because the roots don't have to match. Bangs will also hide that tricky topper hairline, making the topper look super natural.

Tip 3: Pull your hair back

If you didn't color the roots yet, but you need to wear the hair topper and run out, you can integrate the hair topper in your hair. To do this, leave a little bit of hair out in front, then take this hair and pull it over the topper edge. Take some bobby pins and pin it in place or you can take it a little bit further back and create a half-up half-down ponytail. It's easy and the hair will be out of your face too.

Tip 4: Use concealer

If your hair part and the hair toppers part don't match, use a concealer the same shade as your scalp and head to dab along the part. This is going to make a more seamless integration.

Tip 5: Magic root cover-up

Sometimes it works better than concealer. Spray the root touch up on your part and your roots then install the hair topper. That really makes it look seamless and natural. This is also good to do for when you smudged too much concealer on the hair, and you want to cover it. An eyeshadow in the same shade as your hair roots will also work well.

When it comes to seamlessly integrating the hair topper in your hair, you can follow these tips. We are sure you'll love the results. Keep playing around and figuring out what is the best way for the hair topper to look perfect on your hair.
