We've got frequently asked if I can have a ponytail with a topper! So today we are coming at you with this super fun high messy ponytail with a hair topper.
You just want to style your hair a little bit so it has some shape and it will match the topper. When it's pulled up, I just added a few curls to mine and the topper I'm using is the UniWigs 6.5" X 6.5" Upgrade Claire Plus mono topper with bangs. It has this halo wire, so it's so awesome.
Gluing down your lace front hair topper.
I just made sure to keep a little bit of hair out. I feel like it has a really nice hold and you want to make sure it's very attached otherwise it'll just pull back and it's not going to work. Applying some got2B glue in the front hairline. You blow dry it and then I'm going to use one of this invisible halo and I think this is a really good trick to just pull kind of a chunk on the top of your head to guide the height of your ponytail. And just use your fingers to comb a little bit. I'm just pulling out my bangs and some of the face-framing layers I have around the sides. Make sure it's all blended and looks natural. This is a little bit tedious. I would say this sticks longer than anything, but we're all used to that right covering up our thin areas.
Another reason I love this invisible halo wire is I really can't think of some good height for your ponytail, but we're going to make it even higher here in just a minute now.
I'm just double-checking again, pulling down some of those little pieces to make sure that it's all blended. You can't see the topper, you can't see the string and you can't see a lot of the really thin parts of my head, so it's just nice and all blended.
Concealing your front hairline.
I'm just taking a hair concealer with an eyeshadow brush and I'm just going to conceal some of those really thin areas around my hairline. Most of it can't really be seen when the hair is kind of pulled down loose, but I think this also helps to blend it a little bit. I'm just using an eyeshadow brush with it. It also has a little sponge but I was trying to be more precise. I was just showing you an example. If you can see your scalp, just use some spray concealer. I just clipped it in and gave it some super high lift in the ponytail itself and then I just pinned that with a bobby pin and again, there's a lot of playing with it but I think it looks super cute. You could use a little bit of hairspray if you want. I try to use the minimal product in my hair so that it stays cleaner longer but oh my gosh is that like a dream ponytail? I've never been able to have that but
Give it a super high lift.
Now if you want more volume in your actual ponytail, use a couple of these little Clips or it would have been better to use a big clip. Just clip it in and give it some super high lift in the pony itself and I just had to mess with it to just blend it out a little bit. And then I found a little piece of hair I could wrap around to hide that invisible. Then I just pinned that with a bobby pin and again there's a lot of playing with it but I think it looks super cute.
You could use a little bit of hairspray if you want. I try to use the minimal product in my hair so that it'll stay cleaner & longer. Oh my gosh is that like a dream ponytail? l I've never been able to have that but you guys this was so comfortable like zero pulling on my hair so no damage.
