If you’re exploring the world of hair toppers for women, chances are you’ve come across two popular types of hair toppers at UniWigs.com: Upgrade Courtney hair topper in Chinese and in Burmese hair toppers. Both are highly sought after for their quality and versatility, but they have distinct differences that might make one a better choice for your needs. In this blog, we’ll break down the key aspects of each to help you make an informed decision.
Before diving into the differences, let’s quickly recap what hair toppers are. Hair toppers are a non-surgical solution for women experiencing hair thinning or hair loss. Unlike full wigs, toppers blend seamlessly with your natural hair, offering partial coverage to the areas that need it most. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and come in various styles, lengths, and base types to suit different needs.
1. Hair Texture Chinese hair toppers are known for their smooth and silky texture. The hair strands are typically thicker and straighter compared to other types. This makes them an excellent choice for women with naturally straight or slightly wavy hair.
2. Durability Chinese hair toppers are incredibly durable and can withstand frequent styling and heat application. The thick strands make them less prone to breakage, ensuring they last longer with proper care.
3. Appearance Thanks to the natural shine and smoothness, Chinese hair toppers offer a polished and sleek look. They’re perfect for women who want a sophisticated, straight hairstyle without too much effort.
4. Ideal for: Women with straight or wavy hair who value durability and a sleek finish.
1. Hair Texture Burmese hair toppers stand out for their soft and slightly coarser texture. The hair often features a natural wave or curl, making it an excellent match for women with textured or curly hair.
2. Versatility The natural wave of Burmese hair toppers makes them incredibly versatile. Whether you want to enhance your curls or straighten the hair for a sleek look, Burmese hair toppers adapt well to various styling preferences.
3. Volume Due to its coarser texture, Burmese hair tends to have more volume compared to Chinese hair. This makes it a great option for women who want to add fullness to their hairstyle.
4. Ideal for: Women with naturally curly or textured hair who want volume and versatility.
Upgrade Courtney in Burmese Hair:
When choosing between Chinese and Burmese hair toppers, consider the following:
1. Your Natural Hair Texture: If your hair is straight, a Chinese hair topper might blend more seamlessly. For curly or textured hair, Burmese hair toppers are a better match.
2. Styling Preferences: Chinese hair toppers are ideal for sleek, straight looks, while Burmese hair toppers work well for voluminous and textured styles.
3. Maintenance: Both types require regular care, but Burmese hair toppers might need more attention to maintain their natural curl pattern.
4. Longevity: Both Chinese and Burmese hair toppers are durable, but the thicker strands of Chinese hair might offer a slight edge in terms of long-term use.
The difference between Chinese hair and Burmese hair:
Whether you choose a Chinese hair topper or a Burmese hair topper, both offer excellent solutions for women looking to enhance their look and regain confidence. Understanding the differences in texture, styling options, and durability will help you make the best choice for your hair goals.
Remember, the right hair topper is the one that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful every day. If you’re still unsure, consult a hair expert to find your perfect match.

Thank you for your question! The color won’t affect the natural curl pattern of Burmese hair after washing. However, the degree of curl may vary depending on the hair care products you use.
My hair is naturally wavy, but I wear it straight most of the time only because my fine hair doesn’t tolerate heat very well and so curling it only damages it. However I do like a curly look as well and so wonder which would be the best first option for me, Burmese or Chinese?

Thank you for reaching out! If you prefer more curl, I’d recommend going with the Burmese hair! It naturally curls after washing, just like in the picture shown. This could save you some styling time.
