At UniWigs, we understand the transformative power of beautiful hair. However, for some children battling medical conditions, the dream of flowing locks remains out of reach. That's why we're thrilled to launch our Hair Donation Campaign, an initiative aimed at making and offering FREE wigs for kids, spreading love, confidence, and joy to those in need!
How to donate your hair?
If you're ready to donate your hair and make a real difference for those in need, follow this checklist to ensure your donation meets all requirements:
- 1Minimum Length Requirement:
- Ensure your donation is a minimum of 12 inches measured tip-to-tip.
- 2Acceptable Hair Types:
- Colored or permed hair is acceptable. Unsure? Send it in, and our manufacturer will determine its viability.
- 3Hair Storage:
- Hair cut years ago is usable if stored in a ponytail or braid.
- 4Bundling Requirement:
- Bundle your hair in a ponytail or braid. Hair not bundled cannot be used.
- 5Avoid Dreadlocks:
- Unfortunately, we cannot use dreadlocks in our children’s hairpieces.
- 6Layered Hair Preparation:
- Divide layered hair into multiple ponytails for donation.
- 7Curly Hair Measurement:
- Pull curly hair straight to measure the minimum 12 inches accurately.
- 8Lightly Worn Hairpieces:
- Lightly worn hair pieces, such as human hair wigs, toppers, and extensions, may also be acceptable for donation.
Send in Your Hair Donation
Place the dry ponytail or braids, along with a piece of paper containing your name, phone number, and email address, inside a sealed Ziploc bag. Then, place the Ziploc bag inside a sealed envelope addressed to:

Kindly provide us with your tracking information to [email protected] once you've dispatched your hair envelope. This will enable us to accurately record and track your donation. Our manufacturer assesses the viability of all hair donations. Once your hair donations are confirmed as acceptable, we will refund the full shipping cost upon receipt of the shipment receipt. Please allow 4-8 weeks for this process. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Upon acceptance, hair donors will be announced on our website (with their permission), and they will receive ongoing updates as their donated hair transforms into wigs for children in need.
